Celebrating our 10th Season

Half Way Through the Season

It was actually fun to get a race day in without the threat of rain!

Thanks to Stan Norris & Sons Construction for sponsoring our races for June 21st. The Double Features/Double Points Night went smoothly on July 12th and we all had a long, hot day for the 10th Anniversary Celebration last Saturday. But it was worth it because the racing was really good.

There will be no racing at TVR this weekend—hope everyone enjoys their time off.

There will be a Wednesday evening practice on July 30th from 6-9 PM. Concessions will not be open this night.

Racing resumes on Saturday, August 2nd in all divisions, including the minicups, and the Sportsman Rally race #3.

AA Electric Service will be our race day sponsor on Saturday, August 9th. Two divisions will be doing time trials and the fourth Sportsman Rally race will take place.

No racing on the 16th of August. We’ll be at a car show at the Newport Bowling Alley if you would like to stop by.

Another Wednesday evening practice will be held on August 20th from 6-9 PM.

Our Racing Against Cancer Night will take place on Saturday, August 23rd. More details on this event will be available as the date approaches.

If you bring a minor friend or relative to the track, you must also bring a hand written note from their parent or guardian for us to keep on file. All required paperwork must be completed before they will be allowed entry.

The track is available for rent. Cost for a 3 hour time block is $100.00, with a kart limit of 3. Each additional kart will be charge $34.00. Call the track line to make reservations.

Just a reminder that payment will be expected when you register at the gate for all your pit passes & registration fees. All parts purchases must be paid for at the end of the race or practice day, unless other arrangements have been made. Cash, checks, MasterCard & Visa are accepted.

Included with this newsletter are some updates for your 2008 Rule Book. Make sure they get attached to your copy!

Welcome to some new racers recently — Hunter Simon in the Kid Kart Division and Mark Simon in the Sprint Animal Division. And a BIG welcome back to Shane Grindle in the Sprint Animal as well.

Be sure to check out our web site for all the latest news and updates. You will also find any schedule changes, and the most recent race results and points are available at the click of a mouse! Don’t forget to check out all the smiles in the Photo Gallery. :)

Notes from the Shop (half way through the season):

~Have you changed your oil on a regular basis? Have you cleaned your air filter?

~Does your clutch need attention? Preventative maintenance can make it perform better and last longer.

~Checked all your bolts and fasteners? Tightening these items can prevent leaving a practice or race early.

~Checked your toe lately? It doesn’t take much to alter it.

Time is running out for your chance to race the Thursday Night Thunder karts. Gather a group of friends or co-workers and call the track line to make your reservations. They can be run any time during the week, as long as it doesn't interfere with the weekly racing program.

We are a full service kart shop that stocks most any part you would ever need for kart racing. Nate is also available to help with kart set-ups, scaling, alignment and installation of kart parts. Call the track line to make an appointment for you and your racer!
